Paraphrasing one of my favorite writers, W.S. Merwin who said that the process of creating art starts in the solitude of the artist and ends in the solitude of those who come in contact with the creation, I’ve had the luxury of the interiority of my creative space for some time now putting my new website together.
Marion Meadows’ “Christmas on the Radio” plays on my radio as I write this and I remember this moment as a very important one. In fact, the little things we never know are the things that know us. I thought I needed a new website, away from my old tiny one, that would help me connect to you all, give you entry into my personal and creative space.
I’ve never felt more closer to you all than I am now. This website is one of my ways to help you connect better with the different parts of who Kehinde Badiru is.
You can now re-imagine our world with me, dream with me, get closer to my writing, music, craft, art, illustration, lifestyle, my radio, community work and advancement, and the entirety of what makes me who I am.
This website is a project closer to my heart and a lot of people reading this. I appreciate everyone—friends, clients, collaborators, editors, designers, artists, writers whom I have worked with, and most adorably, my readers who believe in my words, read my work, buy my books, who have supported me so far, and brought me this far.
Your dream starts here! All you need from me is in one place: Kehindebadiru.com
There’s a lot of stories I want to tell you. But let’s dream for now and weave our destinies together!
