SERVICES
No matter your level of writing, I’d be glad to know what kind of reader or editor I can be for your work. You could email me an excerpt of 50 words or less to have an idea of what kind of work I can do on your manuscript and/or copy materials.
With years of quality experience working on manuscripts and copy materials across different fields of study, I edit manuscripts and turn them into best-sellers. I have had the opportunity to work as an independent editor, in-house editor, and freelance, working with best-selling authors, award-winning self-published authors, writers, publishers, not-for-profits, research/educational, and religious institutions, to put out their best work.
Editing to me is beyond just catching typos or displaying grammatical wit. It is a careful cleaning-up. What sets my service apart is my dedicated eye for detail and understanding of clients’ needs.
As a developmental editor, I edit for sentence structure, usage of grammar, clarity, and style, also make comments, citation checking, fact verification, and suggestions, etc. I proofread for spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and verb tense. I will provide corrections and suggestions about all of these.
When you work with me as your editor/proofreader, be assured I will check the flow and ensure variety in sentence construction and make suggestions where necessary, and organize your manuscript for the greatest impact, clarity, and readability. Whatever it is your manuscript is, I will bring the best out of it.
The literary services I offer include developmental editing, structural editing, proofreading, manuscript critique, poetry, and literary nonfiction such as memoirs, biographies, and personal essays.
Whatever format your manuscript is in (Google Docs or traditional Microsoft Word document), when I read your work, I read in detail, track changes, and provide comments where necessary. I ensure that I have full information on what your needs are for your work. When I turn in your edited copy, you will see my tracked changes and would be able to revise them as you want. I remain available for further questions or clarifications you may need as you revise your edited work. Beyond work, I cherish the camaraderie I experience with every writer, author, publisher, client I work with.
Depending on what you want for your writing material, we will achieve specific goals on what works for you.
Finally, if you would like to get a quick idea of some of the amazing things authors I have worked with say about me, you are on your way to read what these authors think.
FEES
Once you reach out to me and I have an idea of your work and what amount of editing needs to be put into it, I will be able to quote a price for the work appropriately. Even if your copy is as little as a blurb or quote, I’m able to edit it and advise appropriately.
Depending on the stages of editing needed on your manuscript, my rates are affordable, yet competitive.
